I had a dream I was inside an ancient Zoroastrian fire temple in Iran. I stared deep into the flames—though I knew I was Jewish, I couldn’t help being mesmerized by the fire’s glow. Suddenly, a commotion drew everyone into the courtyard. A man in a robe with a long beard appeared on the balcony above. I had never seen him before, yet it felt as if I had known him countless lifetimes. Then my mom nudged me gently and said it was time to go to Esfahan—and I woke up.

This jacket carries that fire, that timeless pull—the warmth of curiosity, memory, and the sparks that move us forward.
